OneStore said on Sunday it is stepping up its OnePlay service, which lets users play instantly without downloading, by introducing the popular title Gladiator Raising.

The new release is part of efforts to expand the OnePlay platform lineup, which can be launched immediately without an app installation process. OneStore plans to broaden the service in earnest based on cooperation with Tencent, which leads the global mini-game market.

Gladiator Raising, introduced this time, has ranked near the top of the China WeChat mini-game sales chart since its launch and is currently holding a top-10 position. It is an RPG in which players obtain equipment to develop characters, and it features diverse content within a single game, including collecting numerous items and making strategic combinations.

OnePlay Games is a service that lets users instantly run various games within the OneStore app without downloading or installing them. Users can discover and try new games without the burden of installing apps, while developers can secure new exposure and monetisation channels in addition to distributing traditional download-based apps.

In particular, it offers an experience that continues seamlessly within the app from launching games to purchasing items, based on OneStore’s login and payment infrastructure. This enables stable monetisation even in an instant-play gaming environment.

Starting with Gladiator Raising, OneStore plans to sequentially introduce mini-games across various genres based on cooperation with Tencent. The company expects expanding the OnePlay Games lineup will lead to longer user time spent and create synergies with its existing app market business.
