Electrification, software-defined vehicles, autonomous driving and generative AI are accelerating changes in how cars are developed, driving interest in integrated platforms that link end-to-end processes. NIO adopted Dassault Systemes\' 3DEXPERIENCE platform to connect globally dispersed engineering teams and cut data loading time. Jaguar Land Rover pursued an i-PLM programme to integrate design data and redesign work practices. Dongfeng ran parallel development tests and reported efficiency gains and fewer design problems.

Dassault Systemes said on Tuesday it has formed a strategic partnership with industrial automation company Omron to bridge the gap between information technology and operational technology. The companies said the tie-up will help manufacturers and equipment makers design, simulate and build high-performance production systems using an approach that integrates virtual and real environments. They will combine Dassault’s 3D UNIV+RSES with Omron’s Sysmac platform to support the full process from design to deployment.
