LG Uplus to install infotainment service in Toyota SUV
LG Uplus will upgrade its connected-car service Toyota Connect and install it in Toyota\'s sport utility vehicle model, the All New RAV4. Developed with Toyota Motor Korea, the platform is based on the integrated infotainment service U+ Drive and provides navigation, music streaming, TV content and voice recognition. The upgrade adds Toyota TV, the curated music service Essential and hybrid navigation that supports both online and offline use.

KT overhauls Genie TV All G to expand terrestrial and general programming VOD
KT said on Monday it has overhauled its Genie TV All G IPTV plan to expand access to terrestrial and general programming channel VOD. The renewed plan will launch on June 30 and costs 19,800 won per month under an internet-plus-IPTV bundle with a three-year contract. Subscribers will be able to watch the latest drama and entertainment VOD from major broadcasters right after airing, and view content on mobile devices.

SKT Broadband leads IPTV security spending; KT Skylife tops security share of IT budget
South Korea’s three IPTV operators increased information security spending in 2024, reflecting the sensitive data handled by broadcast platforms. Combined spending by SKT Broadband, KT Skylife and LG HelloVision rose about 6.6 percent from a year earlier to 32,828,770,000 won, data from the Korea Internet & Security Agency’s disclosure portal showed. SKT Broadband spent the most, while KT Skylife had the highest security share of its IT budget.
