Nol Universe tops 10,000 issuances of prepaid card for foreigners

Nol Universe said on Tuesday that its NOL World Card, a prepaid card aimed at foreign tourists, surpassed 10,000 issuances within three months of its May launch. The card was jointly introduced with Woori Bank and Kona I. It is issued at Woori Bank exchange counters at Incheon airport and offers exchange-rate benefits. Users can exchange, top up and withdraw at Woori branches, ATMs, unmanned exchange machines and partner kiosks.

KakaoMap shows real-time coastal ferry locations, applies to 99 routes

KakaoMap users can now check real-time locations of coastal passenger ferries nationwide. Kakao said on Sept. 15 it applied a “high-precision ferry” service to KakaoMap, covering 99 coastal routes operating from 306 passenger terminals. Users can zoom in on routes to see vessel positions and view navigation-mode details such as time remaining, speed and destination. The service links ferry traffic data held by the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority.

LG Hellovision\'s \'Catching Heroines\' wins gender equality culture content award

LG Hellovision said on Tuesday its original human documentary series \"Catching Heroines\" won the Gender Equality Culture Content Award at the 2026 Gender Equality Culture Awards. The awards recognise people, organisations and content that contribute to spreading gender equality in culture, arts, sports and tourism. The series follows women working across various jobs and has produced nine seasons since debuting in 2022.
