Korea media communications commission recommends staggered scheduling for 2026 FIFA World Cup broadcasts

South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media Communications Commission said it recommended that broadcasters avoid excessive simultaneous duplication of matches when televising the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North and Central America, which opens on June 12. It said overlapping schedules in the same time slot could restrict viewing rights and limit the variety of programming. Matches with high nationwide interest, including games involving South Korea, are exempt.
