Jeonbuk physical AI pilot lab tests autonomous factory operations

Jeonbuk National University is testing technology that adds autonomous judgement to automated factories at its Physical AI Manufacturing Technology Pilot Lab in Jeonju. The 846-square-metre facility links robot arms, autonomous mobile robots, sensors and machine tools to share production plans and detect abnormalities. It can recommend responses, with plans to develop technology to directly adjust equipment and optimise multiple processes. The programme will expand through 2030 with central government funding.

BNY Mellon subsidiary joins MiCA register as ESMA adds 15 providers

The European Securities and Markets Authority added 15 crypto-asset service providers to the MiCA register, lifting the total number of registered entities to 309. The update includes BNY SA/NV, a Belgian subsidiary of BNY Mellon, along with four banks and digital asset platforms. It was the third post-deadline update since the July 1 transition date. Registrations rose most in Germany and Denmark, with three additions each.

Dassault Systemes opens Busan technology center to support digital innovation in shipbuilding and defense

Dassault Systemes said on Wednesday it has opened the Dassault Systemes Busan Technology Center in Busan to support digital innovation in South Korea’s shipbuilding and marine, and defense industries. The company said the center includes work areas for Dassault Systemes Korea employees and experience and collaboration spaces for customers and partners. Facilities include a 3DEXPERIENCE technology center, a VR experience area and meeting and lounge spaces.
