Jensen Huang says neocloud demand surging but lack of capital hampers growth

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (젠슨 황) said demand for neoclouds, AI-focused cloud providers, is surging but companies lack the working capital to expand fast enough. He said the need for capital is far greater than its availability, which is slowing market growth for now. Huang also cited power as a key bottleneck, especially in Europe with high electricity costs, and said building local infrastructure is the starting point for expanding the AI ecosystem.

Naver upgrades university and admissions search, to overhaul CSAT search on Oct. 27

Naver said on Thursday it has upgraded its education search so users can check university, department and admissions information in one place. Users can search about 200 universities and some 7,000 departments for details such as selection methods, employment rates and tuition. Admissions data such as guidelines, application schedules and competition ratios will appear directly in search results. Naver will also revamp its CSAT search on Oct. 27 and add more functions in November.

SKT to boost A.X K2 math reasoning with Seoul National University, KAIST

SK Telecom will work with domestic universities and research institutes to strengthen the mathematical reasoning ability of its proprietary AI foundation model, A.X K2, and take on difficult mathematics problems. The company will hold a technical exchange meeting at its Seoul headquarters with professors and researchers from Seoul National University and KAIST to discuss research and model upgrades. Researchers from Korea Institute for Advanced Study will also participate.
