Dunamu, which operates digital asset exchange Upbit, is expanding an education program for university students and young people to introduce digital assets, future finance and related jobs.

Dunamu said on Oct. 19 it will hold Upclass Campus, a digital asset lecture series for university students and young people.

Upclass is a tailored ESG education program run by Dunamu for different generations to improve understanding of digital assets and support career exploration.

Dunamu said about 2,700 young people have participated so far at 11 universities nationwide. After being held at six universities in Seoul in the first semester, it will be held in the second semester at KAIST Graduate School of Management of Technology, Sookmyung Women’s University College of Economics and Business Administration, and Ewha Womans University College of Business Administration.

Starting this year, the program was revamped so current Dunamu employees participate directly.

In the first session, a Dunamu executive will give a lecture on “Digital assets and future finance insights.” In the second session, “Career Path Talk,” working-level employees, including alumni of the host school, will introduce how they prepared for their jobs and their on-the-job experience.

The first event will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Fusion Hall in KI Building at KAIST. Speakers will include Dunamu Chief Technology Officer Kim Dong-min (김동민), an Upbit iOS app developer and an exchange backend developer.

At 5 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Junggang Auditorium of Sunheon Hall at Sookmyung Women’s University, and at 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Convention Hall of Ewha SK Telecom Hall at Ewha Womans University, Dunamu Chief Brand Impact Officer Yoon Sun-ju (윤선주) will lead the first session.

Dunamu CEO Oh Kyung-seok (오경석) said, “As digital assets become established as an important axis of future finance, we will continue to expand education and communication so young people can prepare for the future.”
