Samsung Display QD-OLED wins certified wide viewing-angle verification

Samsung Display said on Tuesday its QD-OLED lineup for TVs and monitors completed UL Solutions\' QuantumView viewing-angle evaluation. The test measures changes in luminance and color coordinates from the front out to 60 degrees. Samsung Display said QD-OLED products showed at least 60 percent luminance retention and color coordinate change of 0.012 or less at 60 degrees. It attributed the results to its front-emission structure and quantum-dot Lambertian emission characteristics.

LG CNS steps up push into North America with mobile shuttle logistics robot

LG CNS said on Tuesday it unveiled its mobile shuttle logistics automation robot at Modex 2026, which opened in Atlanta. The company said the robot is designed to operate reliably in temperatures as low as minus 26 degrees Celsius, allowing use in cold-chain logistics such as food and distribution. It said multiple shuttle robots can move within warehouse shelving and carry up to 1,500 kg each, with AI agent features supporting natural-language control and response guidance.

Samsung Display completes panel-integrated privacy display technology

Samsung Display said on Wednesday its smartphone OLED using its panel-integrated privacy technology, Flex Magic Pixel, passed UL Solutions\' \"privacy display\" verification. UL Solutions measured brightness reduction by tilting panels at 45 degrees and 60 degrees and rotating them 360 degrees. Side luminance was 3.5 percent at 45 degrees and 0.9 percent or less at 60 degrees versus the front. Samsung Display said it built the technology by changing the black matrix structure and applying its LEAD OLED technology.
