KakaoGames\' Dokkaebi\'s World tops Google Play sales ranking

KakaoGames\' new title \"Dokkaebi\'s World\" has topped Google Play\'s sales ranking five days after its release. The 2.5D MMORPG, developed by Supercat and published by KakaoGames, was formally launched on Oct. 8. It also ranked No. 1 on Apple App Store popularity charts on Oct. 7 and led Google Play popularity rankings on launch day. The company plans a special coupon and will focus on stabilising domestic service while preparing a phased overseas launch.

KakaoGames on Wednesday launched the official service for \'World of Goblins,\' a new 2.5D MMORPG developed by Supercat. The game is based on the intellectual property of Naver’s web novel and webtoon \'Myeolgwisudojeon\' and combines 2D dot characters with 3D backgrounds. KakaoGames is rolling out attendance and drops events and offering payment and platform partnership promotions, including benefits tied to Google Play.

KakaoGames is unveiling the economy structure and growth system for its MMORPG \"Dokkaebi\'s World\", scheduled for release in October, and will begin character name reservations. The company held a live demonstration on Sept. 18 for the 2.5D game being developed by Supercat, featuring a play session and user Q&A. Players can earn in-game currency through content such as field bosses and raids. Character name registration opens Sept. 22.
