Open Secure AI Alliance launches with Nvidia and global partners; SK Telecom and Naver join
The Open Secure AI Alliance, a consortium to develop and share open technologies, techniques and tools to protect software and agents in the AI era, is launching under the lead of Nvidia and global companies. Nvidia and founding members plan to jointly develop and share open models, agent harnesses and security tools supporting responsible AI use and improved trust. SK Telecom and Naver are among the participating South Korean companies.

The Trump administration is considering ways to limit U.S. companies\' use of Chinese open-source AI models, a report said, as cheaper Chinese systems gain performance and price competitiveness. The debut of Moonshot AI\'s Kimi K3 has been cited as a trigger. Options discussed include restricting access, revisiting Commerce Department entity list designations and applying procurement rules. Debate has also grown over whether such steps could favor large U.S. AI firms.

AVEVA appoints Park Ki-beom as head of South Korea unit
Industrial software firm AVEVA said on Monday it appointed Park Ki-beom as head of its South Korea unit. Park will oversee the company’s local business, including strategy development and execution. The company said he joined AVEVA in November 2024 as sales director for semiconductors and high-tech, expanded customer and executive networks, and won large projects. From April 2025, he led sales across additional industries.
