Industrial software company AVEVA said on Monday it appointed Park Ki-beom (박기범) as head of its South Korea unit. Park will lead the company’s overall business in the country and oversee strategy development and execution.
The company said Park joined AVEVA in November 2024 as sales director for the semiconductor and high-tech industries. Since then, he has expanded networks with key customers and executives while identifying and winning large strategic projects, contributing to growth in South Korea.
From April 2025, he oversaw sales not only for semiconductors and high-tech, but also for the oil and chemicals, shipbuilding and offshore industries. The company said this broadened his leadership across AVEVA’s industrial portfolio.
Before joining AVEVA, he held sales leadership roles at global and South Korean IT companies including Siemens Software, Red Hat, Oracle, BMC Software and LG CNS. He led digital transformation projects for major South Korean manufacturers and energy companies, including Samsung, LG, SK, POSCO and Hyundai Motor Group.
Park, head of AVEVA Korea, said: "As we enter an era where AI determines competitiveness at industrial sites, the importance of data-driven operational innovation is growing." He added: "Through AVEVA industrial AI and digital twin technologies, we will support South Korean customers in improving productivity and operational efficiency, while also achieving sustainable growth. We will also accelerate digital innovation in the South Korean market based on close cooperation with customers and partners."
