Open Secure AI Alliance launches with Nvidia and global partners; SK Telecom and Naver join

[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] The Open Secure AI Alliance, a consortium to develop and share open technologies, techniques and tools to protect software and agents in the AI era, is launching under the lead of Nvidia and global companies.

Nvidia and the founding members plan to jointly develop and share open models, agent harnesses and security tools that support responsible AI use and improved trust. Based on the Linux Foundation's Akrites initiative and OpenSSF community activities, the Open Secure AI Alliance plans to work together to address and disclose vulnerabilities using open technologies.

It focuses on enabling security professionals worldwide to use advanced open tools they can trust and directly control.

Major companies and institutions in cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise software, open-source foundations and AI research are joining the alliance as founding partners.

Participants include Nvidia, Adobe, Cadence, Capital One, Cisco, Cloudera, Cloudflare, Cognition, CrowdStrike, Databricks, Dell Technologies, DoorDash, Elastic, HPE, Hugging Face, IBM, LangChain, the Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NetApp, Nous Research, OpenClaw, Palantir, Palo Alto Networks, Red Hat, Reflection AI, Salesforce, SAP, SK Telecom, ServiceNow, Siemens, Snowflake, SpaceXAI, Synopsys, Thinking Machines Lab and TrendAI. South Korean companies taking part include SK Telecom and Naver.

Nvidia will provide the Open Secure AI Alliance with open models and model weights, data and new agent harness research to speed up the development of new cybersecurity tools and technologies.

A new open-source NVIDIA Labs Object-Oriented Agent (NOOA) project is also currently available through GitHub. The NOOA research framework helps the harness integrate effectively with models, making it easier to test, track, audit and manage agent behavior.

Alliance participants aim to build an open agent defense stack spanning identity and isolation through secure model formats, multimodel scanning and secure coding workflows.
