Kwon Young-beom says hierarchical command-driven structure makes organisational innovation hard in AI era

Enterprise solutions firm Younglimwon Softlab on April 15 held a “2026 Corporate Culture Innovation Seminar” in Seoul under the theme of whether companies can survive without asking questions in the AI era. About 120 corporate officials attended. Chief Executive Kwon Young-beom said companies still rely on hierarchical, command-driven operations and that such structures make creativity and innovation difficult. He proposed autonomy and trust-based organisational design and introduced three mobile solutions.

Samchundang Pharm scraps 250 billion won block deal, denies stock manipulation allegations

Samchundang Pharm moved to explain controversy over alleged stock manipulation and a Korea Exchange notice of possible sanctions for inadequate disclosure. Chief executive Jeon In-seok cancelled a planned 250 billion won block deal to sell a major shareholder stake, saying the sale was intended to pay taxes of 233.5 billion won. He said he will instead pay the taxes through a stock-backed loan and focus on proving management performance. He also apologised for poor communication and pledged greater transparency.

KT appoints Park Yoon-young as new CEO at shareholders meeting, dividend set at 600 won

KT held its 44th annual general meeting on Tuesday at its research and development centre in Seoul and appointed Park Yoon-young as chief executive. Shareholders approved nine agenda items, including financial statements, partial amendments to the articles of incorporation and director appointments. KT approved 2025 consolidated revenue of 28.2 trillion won and operating profit of 2.47 trillion won. It set a fourth-quarter dividend of 600 won per share, to be paid on April 15.
