KT unveiled its research and development results in AI, data and network technology and its artificial intelligence transformation (AX) execution strategy.
KT said on Tuesday it held “AX Tech Connect 2026” hosted by its AX Future Technology Institute at the KT Umyeon R&D Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The event featured KT’s AX execution strategy, an exhibition of its latest AI, data and network technologies, and presentations on related topics. Key exhibit technologies included the Mi:deum K model, multimodal AI, agentic AI-based solutions and the Data AX Core. It also introduced AI agents tailored to AX business, hyper-personalised services, and ways to apply work using next-generation search and analytics technologies.
In the network field, KT showcased the “Hyper AI Network,” which provides connectivity and computing infrastructure needed for the AI era, and “Autonomous Operation,” which autonomously carries out network operation and management. It also displayed network security technologies in preparation for the eras of AI, 6G and quantum technology.
Topic presentations shared the direction for physical AI R&D, a data strategy for expanding AX across the company, and the direction for advancing the Hyper AI Network. KT also introduced its future growth direction and execution strategies by technology.
KT said it aims to present an “AX full-stack” execution framework that organically connects AI, data and networks through the event. It plans to expand its R&D results into actual business and customer services.
Jae-hyung Park (박재형), head of KT’s AX Future Technology Institute, said, “We will continue to present a direction for AX innovation based on execution capability that can be applied to customer services and industrial sites.”
