U.S. Treasury chief says fast-tracking bitcoin reserve plan as Senate harmonises CLARITY bill

The U.S. Treasury has confirmed it is continuing to push ahead with plans for a strategic bitcoin reserve and a broader digital-asset stockpile. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said procedures are moving quickly under an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in 2025. Bessent also voiced support for the pending CLARITY digital-asset market structure bill, which has been discussed in the Senate for about a year and requires harmonisation of two committee bills before a floor vote.
