Samsung kicks off promotion to expand AI TV market ahead of World Cup

Samsung Electronics is running a promotion tied to the North and Central America World Cup season to help expand adoption of its 2026 AI TVs optimised for sports viewing. The campaign runs for two months from May 1 at Samsung Store and Samsung.com, as well as retailers including Hi-Mart and Electronics Land. Customers who trade in an existing TV can receive Samsung membership points, and an online event offers cashback to selected reviewers.

Galaxy S26 preorders strong despite smartphone market slump

Samsung Electronics said preorders for its Galaxy S26 series in South Korea totalled 1.35 million units over seven days, the highest for the Galaxy S line. The previous record was 1.3 million for the Galaxy S25 series over 11 days. The company said the Galaxy S26 Ultra accounted for about 70 percent of preorders. More than 30 percent of Samsung.com preorder buyers signed up for the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.

Samsung Electronics to launch 2026 Bespoke AI Airdresser with wrinkle-focused care

Samsung Electronics will launch its 2026 Bespoke AI Airdresser clothing care appliance on March 3, adding a new wrinkle-focused care function, the company said. The model provides dual air wash and dual jet steam functions for dust removal, sterilisation, deodorisation and wrinkle removal. It also supports upgraded AI tailored drying and an AI energy-saving mode via SmartThings, which can cut energy use by up to 15 percent. Prices range from 2,049,000 won to 2,499,000 won.
