[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Samsung Electronics unveiled two models, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event held in San Francisco, the United States, on Feb. 25 local time.

According to the company, the Galaxy Buds4 series implements a slim, ergonomic design based on more than 100 million ear data points worldwide and more than 10,000 wear simulations to deliver a fit tailored to a wide range of users' ears. Compared with the previous model, it offers a comfortable fit even when worn for long periods. It also does not easily fall out during situations with heavy movement such as exercise.

A newly designed premium Metal Blade supports an engraved, precisely designed Pinch control area that lets users control volume and media with their fingers. The cradle with a translucent cover design allows users to intuitively check whether the earbuds are stored, offering refined styling as well as convenient usability.

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro applies a bezel-less woofer for the first time, maximising the speaker vibration area and minimising edges, expanding the speaker effective area by about 20 percent. This strengthens immersion through powerful bass. Along with a tweeter that precisely expresses high frequencies, an improved two-way speaker supports 24bit 96kHz ultra-high-quality audio, delivering hi-fi sound faithful to the original by producing rich bass and clean highs.

The Galaxy Buds4 series supports a personalised listening experience with upgraded Adaptive ANC (active noise cancelling) compared with the previous model. The Pro model applies Enhanced Adaptive ANC, which analyses the user's wearing condition in real time to provide noise-blocking performance.

An adaptive equaliser works in tandem with Adaptive ANC to optimise tone by considering the user's wearing condition and ear shape. In particular, it provides more finely optimised sound with a correction band that is wider than the previous model.

In addition, the Super Clear Call feature for high-quality calls analyses the user's voice pattern and surrounding noise through a precisely trained machine-learning model to remove unnecessary noise. It also implements a 16 kHz voice bandwidth expanded by up to two times compared with Bluetooth calls on existing earphones, allowing users to experience clearer call quality.

Through seamless connections with other Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Buds4 series can use not only hi-fi sound but also improved Galaxy AI features. Users can easily run various AI agents such as Bixby, Google Gemini and Perplexity through voice calls while wearing the Buds, allowing them to focus on their work environment without taking out their phone.

In particular, Galaxy phone users can pair instantly simply by opening the Galaxy Buds4 series charging case, without installing the Galaxy Wearable app, and can intuitively control the Buds in phone settings and the quick panel. The Galaxy Buds4 series newly includes a Head Gesture feature that allows users to answer calls or control Bixby with head movements alone.

The Galaxy Buds4 series consists of the in-ear Galaxy Buds4 Pro, which combines sound quality and strong functionality, and the open-type Galaxy Buds4, allowing users to choose according to personal preference. It comes in white and black finishes, and pink gold will be released as a Samsung.com-exclusive colour for the Pro model only.

Samsung Electronics will begin preorders for the Galaxy Buds4 series from midnight on Feb. 27 and will officially launch it in South Korea on March 11. Preorder customers can receive their products from March 5. Prices are 359,000 won for the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and 259,000 won for the Galaxy Buds4.
