Samsung to hold second-half graduate recruitment, GSAT next month
Samsung will start its second-half graduate recruitment process from Sept. 8, it said on Monday. Nineteen affiliates including Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T and Samsung Biologics will take part. Applicants can submit applications on Samsung Careers from Sept. 8 to Sept. 15. The process includes role-fit assessments in September, GSAT in October, and interviews and medical checks in November. Some roles replace GSAT with skills tests or portfolio reviews.

Samsung Electronics provides 3 billion won to support flood recovery in Gyeongsang
Samsung donated 3 billion won to support residents in areas hit by torrential rains, including Geoje and Tongyeong in South Gyeongsang and Andong and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang, it said on Aug. 28. Nine affiliates joined the donation. Separately, Samsung will provide 1,000 emergency relief kits and 300 tent-type disaster relief shelters via the Korean Red Cross. Samsung Card will offer payment deferrals, interest reductions and loan maturity extensions for affected customers.

Samsung, government launch job training programme for unemployed youth outside capital
Samsung has launched a job training programme for unemployed young people outside the Seoul metropolitan area, linked to the government’s youth employment project. Samsung Welfare Foundation held an opening ceremony in Daejeon for 550 trainees from four regional areas. The programme is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s K-New Deal Academy initiative and combines Samsung’s prior programme experience with affiliate training infrastructure. Courses cover six job fields and include certification and career support.
