KB Kookmin Bank will work with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance to expand safety management support for small and mid-sized companies and sole proprietors. The bank plans to provide an AI-based safety assessment service free of charge and link it to financial benefits such as preferential loan rates, aiming to strengthen firms\' safety management capabilities and ease management burdens. Samsung Fire will offer free safety improvement reports from June, and the bank will expand financial support in the third quarter.

Finance service developers test Amazon AI coding tool Kiro to fix outages
Amazon Web Services on April 10 held an AI-focused hackathon for finance industry participants, AWS GameDay 2026 for financial companies. KakaoBank’s Kiki404 team won for a second straight year. The competition used scenario-based missions in a sandbox environment, including application outage recovery and modernising legacy Java code. Participants used Amazon Q Developer and Kiro. A total of 96 people from 24 financial firms took part.
