XGate hires former Geneians executive Kim Jun-hyung as VP of sales

South Korean network security firm XGate said on Monday it has hired Kim Jun-hyung, formerly of Geneians, as vice president in charge of sales. Kim previously served as head of the business division at Geneians. XGate also carried out an organisational overhaul centred on separating its business and management functions. Existing vice president Kim Tae-hwa will oversee the management planning headquarters, focusing on finance, HR and other management areas, and on expanding into the defence industry.

Korea Quantum Computing completes PQC-based security proof of concept with LS ITC

Korea Quantum Computing (KQC) said on June 4 it completed a proof of concept with LS Group IT services firm LS ITC to validate post-quantum cryptography-based security technology against hacking using agentic AI and risks from quantum computers. The project tested PQC-based FIDO authentication keys, server-to-server authentication and connection controls using central secret management, and automated issuance and renewal of SSL/TLS certificates.

Hanssak unveils integrated security model targeting AI and N2SF transition

Hanssak said it is strengthening an \"integrated security model\" aimed at a transition to AI and the National Network Security Framework (N2SF). It held a \"2026 Partner Day\" event in May with affiliates Incom and HS Security, touring five major cities nationwide. The company presented its next-generation integrated security vision, shared cyber threat and policy trends, and introduced strategies for a partner-based integrated security ecosystem and a new six-product lineup.
