Vice President Kim Jun-hyung.

Network security company XGate said on Monday it has hired Kim Jun-hyung (김준형), formerly a managing director at Geneians, as vice president in charge of sales.

Kim previously served as head of the business division at Geneians. With Kim's appointment, XGate also carried out an organisational overhaul centred on separating its business and management functions. Existing vice president Kim Tae-hwa (김태화) will oversee the management planning headquarters, focusing on finance, HR, general affairs and new businesses, as well as expanding into the defence industry sector.

XGate plans to use the reorganisation to further strengthen its existing business competitiveness while accelerating the expansion of next-generation security businesses. Alongside its integrated security solutions and SSL visibility solutions, it plans to speed up efforts to expand in the private enterprise market and to identify business opportunities in the defence and defence industry sectors, focusing on quantum cryptography security and an AI next-generation firewall.

Kim said, "Based on field experience and sales know-how built up over the past more than 20 years in the security industry, I will provide security value that meets customer needs and maximise synergy among business organisations to drive XGate's sustained growth."

Chief Executive Ju Kap-su (주갑수) said, "This reorganisation is not a simple personnel change but a strategic overhaul to secure a foundation for future growth." He added, "Under the leadership of Vice President Kim Jun-hyung, who has proven leadership, we will take another step forward to become a leading domestic security company by strengthening execution and expanding the market."
