RSUPPORT said on Thursday it will extend the free trial period for its remote control solution RemoteView for new subscribers to 30 days from 14 days until Sept. 30, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

The company said during holiday periods both self-employed shop owners who leave their stores unattended and manufacturers that must keep factories running worry about gaps in on-site management. If unmanned store kiosks stop working or errors occur in factory equipment that runs 24 hours a day, it can lead to lost sales or production stoppages.

RemoteView allows users to remotely inspect and operate store POS and kiosks, as well as factory industrial PCs and control equipment, using smartphones, tablets and PCs. Store owners can connect via smartphone even outside the store to restart a stopped payment program or reboot devices, allowing them to resolve problems immediately during the holiday without dispatching staff to the site.

RemoteView OT for manufacturing sites sends notifications to the person in charge when equipment abnormalities occur. The person in charge can connect immediately via smartphone to check equipment status and data logs and take action.

For security, RemoteView provides SSL/TLS and AES 256-bit encrypted communications as standard, and the enterprise version also provides OTP multi-factor authentication, access permission controls and work history management. The hardware product RemoteViewBOX supports WOL-based remote power control, allowing users to turn on equipment kept powered off as needed via remote access.
