Samsung unveils Galaxy S26 series with AI, camera and privacy upgrades
Samsung Electronics unveils its third-generation AI phone, the Galaxy S26 series, at a Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in San Francisco. The lineup includes the S26 Ultra, S26+ and S26, with upgraded hardware, camera features and Galaxy AI. The Ultra adds a privacy display and a new vapor chamber, while the series introduces image-processing and video tools, scanning features, AI agents and new privacy and call-screening functions. Rollouts begin March 11.

AI cloud startup Render raises $100 million at $1.5 billion valuation
Cloud startup Render has raised $100 million in funding at a valuation of $1.5 billion, CNBC reported on Feb. 17. Founded in San Francisco in 2018, Render provides AI-based cloud infrastructure to software developers. More than 4.5 million developers use its tools, and revenue growth is above 100 percent, CNBC reported. Render plans to spend the funds on hiring technical staff and expanding features, while testing the use of its own servers to cut costs and lower prices.

Kim Jong-cheol urges rule of law, integrity, security compliance in pre-holiday letter
Broadcast Media and Communications Commission Chairman Kim Jong-cheol sent a letter to all employees ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, calling for stronger public-service discipline and thorough compliance with security rules. He stressed the importance of administration based on the rule of law in broadcasting and telecommunications, urged integrity and restraint to prevent corruption risks during the holiday period, and warned that information leaks could undermine organisational trust. He also asked staff to prevent safety accidents and check emergency contact systems.
