Broadcast Media Telecommunications Committee pitches K-content at Busan Content Market, targets Asian investors

South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Committee and the Korea Broadcasting Communications and Radio Agency will take part in the 20th Busan Content Market at BEXCO and hold an Asia investor briefing, they said on Tuesday. The event aims to attract investment in K-content, with domestic venture capital firms and representatives from major Asian broadcasters and production companies attending. It will feature pitches for AI-based content and international co-productions.

ETRI launches development of core 6G AI-RAN technologies

Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) is moving ahead with research and development to secure core technologies for AI-RAN, an AI-based radio access network technology. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation began the AI-RAN Global Leading Project in April 2026 and designated ETRI as a national specialized research institute. The project runs to December 2030 with 47 billion won in R&D funding.

Bammitongwi supports creators\' overseas IP business, posts 10 billion won in talks

The Broadcasting Media Communications Committee and the Radio Promotion Association of Korea said they supported Korean digital creators\' participation in the 2026 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The support produced 155 business matchings between Korean creators and overseas companies and contract talks worth about $6.65 million, or 10.03 billion won. Ten creator teams across multiple genres took part. Consultations and contract talk amounts rose from a year earlier.
