Samsung to end Samsung Messages service in July, switching users to Google Messages

Samsung Electronics will end its proprietary text and chat service Samsung Messages for Galaxy phones in July and replace it entirely with Google Messages. The company posted an end-of-service notice on its official website and strongly recommended that users change their default messaging app. Switching to Google Messages enables RCS-based features such as high-resolution media sharing and group chats, though some customization may be limited for some users.

Apple releases iOS 26.4 public beta, adds music, podcast and messaging updates

Apple has released a public beta of iOS 26.4 and plans to roll out the final version in March or April. The update adds an AI-based Apple Music playlist feature, full-screen artwork and concert filtering. The Podcasts app adds video via HLS with audio-video switching and quality adjustments. Apple is testing end-to-end encryption for RCS messages, initially for iPhone beta users. CarPlay also gains parked video playback and improved links to AI services.
