Qualcomm is recruiting South Korean science and engineering graduate students for its Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship Korea 2026 academic paper competition. Topics include edge AI, autonomous driving and agentic AI. Applicants in master\'s or doctoral programmes at domestic universities in the 2025 to 2026 academic year can submit a research paper on one of the three themes by Aug. 15. Up to 30 teams pass the first review, and up to 15 final winners are selected in November.

Qualcomm is moving to cement its position as an AI infrastructure supplier in the data centre market. At an investor day event on Wednesday, Qualcomm Technologies unveiled data centre-focused CPUs, AI inference accelerators, high-bandwidth computing technology and custom semiconductor solutions under the Dragonfly brand. The company highlighted its C1000 CPU and HBC memory technology, and outlined timelines for sampling and commercial releases through 2028. Qualcomm also said it signed a multi-generation supply agreement with Meta.
