[Maui, United States = DigitalToday] Qualcomm will unveil a large slate of next-generation Snapdragon products aimed at agentic AI. Snapdragon Summit 2026 will be held in Maui, Hawaii, from Sept. 22 to 24. Qualcomm plans major announcements over the three days in areas including mobile, personal AI and PCs. Qualcomm, which has been previewing CPU, GPU and NPU designs since late last month, will present a flagship mobile platform combining them and its PC and personal AI strategy at the summit.

Qualcomm earlier released details of improvements to its compute engine designs. Its Oryon CPU runs at 5 GHz per prime core, and a new cache structure called FlexCache lets multiple cores share the same cache pool. The structure keeps needed data in cache even if an AI agent moves tasks between cores. Qualcomm added an AI-dedicated Matrix Core to its Adreno GPU for the first time, and introduced an Element Accelerator for transformer processing in its Hexagon NPU while increasing shared memory by 50 percent.

All three engines are being assessed as focusing their designs on reducing system memory access and keeping data close to the compute units. Qualcomm said it will disclose detailed performance figures for the Adreno GPU and game titles using Adreno Neural Fusion at the summit.

A finished platform incorporating these engines will be unveiled on the first day, Sept. 22. After opening remarks by Don McGuire (돈 맥과이어), Qualcomm executive vice president and chief marketing officer, CEO Cristiano Amon (크리스티아노 아몬) will deliver a vision keynote titled "Snapdragon for the agentic era". Qualcomm said it will unveil its latest flagship mobile platform there and introduce partnerships to jointly deliver next-generation experiences. Chris Patrick (크리스 패트릭), Qualcomm senior vice president and head of mobile handsets, will then give a mobile keynote titled "Launchpad for the agentic era".

On the second day, the stage expands beyond smartphones. After CEO Amon holds a conversation with leaders of Qualcomm partner companies, Ziad Asghar (지아드 아스가르), Qualcomm senior vice president and head of XR, wearables and personal AI, will give a personal AI and sound keynote titled "Personal AI ecosystem".

Chris Rattner (크리스 래트너), Qualcomm executive vice president, will then present "Modular: an integrated AI compute layer". Kedar Kondap (케다르 콘답), Qualcomm senior vice president and head of compute and gaming, will lay out a PC strategy in a compute keynote titled "The agentic PC has arrived".

This Snapdragon Summit is expected to be an event where Qualcomm expands Snapdragon, based on the Android ecosystem, across next-generation AI devices including smartphones, personal computing, smart wearables and XR. Qualcomm said a day before the summit opens that it will equip Google's laptop "Googlebook", designed exclusively for Gemini Intelligence, with the Snapdragon X Elite. Googlebook connects with Snapdragon-based Android smartphones and tablets and supports native Android apps and games.

Qualcomm plans to highlight the importance of expanding Googlebook through this summit. Kondap said, "The leading AI capabilities of Snapdragon X Elite have transformed the personal computing experience and opened new possibilities for more intelligent and personalized productivity experiences."

Recent hires also showed an intention to expand Snapdragon into personal AI devices spanning smartphones and PCs. Qualcomm last month appointed Sergio Buniac (세르지오 부니악) as executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies and head of the mobile, compute and personal AI group. The role leads the business under one organisation.

At the time, CEO Amon said, "Executive Vice President Sergio Buniac has the expertise to successfully build a global consumer device business across the entire process, from product design to commercialisation," and added, "In the agentic AI era, we expect him to play an important role in further expanding experiences based on the Snapdragon platform."
