Google's Gemini AI is being built into laptops in earnest. Qualcomm Technologies said on Sept. 21 that it will load the Snapdragon X Elite platform into the Googlebook, a laptop developed with Google and designed for Gemini intelligence.

The new product is designed to connect naturally with Snapdragon-based Android smartphones and tablets. The company said it supports native Android applications and games and has been built into a personal computing ecosystem that breaks down barriers between devices.

It also supports smartphone linking and security features, allowing users to maintain workflow and boost productivity. It is also integrated with the Android ecosystem so content creation, learning and gaming can be handled on a single device. The Googlebook also includes key Snapdragon Elite Gaming features that support improved frame rates and enhanced graphics performance.

Kedar Kondap (케다르 콘답), senior vice president and head of the Compute and Gaming unit at Qualcomm, said, "The leading AI capabilities of Snapdragon X Elite innovate the personal computing experience and open up new possibilities for a more intelligent and personalized productivity experience." He added, "Snapdragon X Elite delivers exceptional performance and efficiency while now supporting native Android apps and games for Googlebook users."

He added, "Qualcomm and Google are pleased to work with global OEMs to deliver the advanced features offered by a new Snapdragon-based laptop category and to provide a seamless cross-device experience for users of Snapdragon-based Android smartphones."
