Korea Space Agency selects four active administration cases

Korea Space Agency selected 4 cases as part of its 2026 active administration best and challenge examples and held an awards ceremony on Oct. 26. Thirteen cases were submitted. After committee review, staff voting and a final evaluation with presentations and Q&A, it chose 1 top award, 2 excellence awards and 1 challenge example. The top case enabled space operators to use guarantee and mutual-aid services without forming a separate association.

SelectStar unveils decision-focused AI \'DAVI\', cuts model operating costs 28 percent

SelectStar, an AI reliability evaluation company, said on Oct. 26 it unveiled DAVI, a decision-focused AI model. The company said DAVI can select suitable AI models based on question difficulty and evaluate the appropriateness of AI responses, and can also be used to predict AI agent task success. SelectStar said DAVI outperformed TypeSafeAI\'s Jev in benchmark tests and cut model execution costs by about 28 percent in routing experiments.

Hanwha Q Cells wins safety certification for three tandem mass-production labs

Three laboratories at Hanwha Q Cells\' Renewable Energy Research Center have received new certification as excellent safety management labs. Hanwha Q Cells said on Oct. 26 that its process development, materials development and analysis labs at the Pangyo R&D Center obtained the certification, and all labs participating for the first time passed. The programme, run by the Ministry of Science and ICT, evaluates safety systems, activities and researchers’ safety awareness.
