DLive TV to distribute local content to 20 countries via Prime Video
DLive TV, which operates DLive’s regional channels, will provide its original content to global viewers in 20 countries through Amazon Prime Video, it said on Wednesday. Since March 26, it has been distributing five programmes including “Forest of Wisdom” and “The Docent” to markets such as the United States, Britain, Canada and Australia. It plans to upload 72 episodes sequentially.

Webtoon Entertainment Q1 operating loss 11.7 billion won, narrows 69.8 percent
Webtoon Entertainment, Naver Webtoon’s U.S. parent, said its first-quarter operating loss narrowed 69.8 percent from a year earlier on improved gross profit and cost controls. Revenue fell 1.5 percent to $320.87 million, but rose 0.2 percent on a constant-currency basis. The operating loss was $8.03 million and net loss fell 60 percent to $8.80 million. Paid content revenue edged up, while ad and IP business revenue declined.

Amazon Prime Video introduces short-form feed after Netflix and Disney+
Amazon Prime Video has launched a short-form feature called Clips that shows drama and movie clips in a vertical feed, The Verge reported on May 8. Users can scroll a Clips carousel on the app home screen to watch short video snippets from content available on the platform. Prime Video says it recommends new content each time based on viewing history. The feature also supports sharing and rent-or-buy actions.
