Stablecoins post 18 months of net outflows abroad, totaling 10.4 billion dollars

Stablecoins have recorded net outflows from South Korea for 18 straight months, with cumulative net outflows totaling $10.4 billion, or about 14 trillion won, an analysis showed. The report attributed the flow to the absence of a won-based stablecoin, saying local investors use dollar stablecoins as a substitute for trading and fund transfers in global digital asset markets. It said liquidity would be sufficient if a won stablecoin is introduced, but institutionalisation remains unresolved.

Nvidia unveils platform to control AI agent access, says model safeguards have limits

Nvidia has unveiled a software platform designed to prevent AI agents from leaving isolated environments and accessing external systems. Developers can use the Open Agent Safety Platform to set guardrails on agent access permissions and execution scope. Nvidia said the platform could have helped prevent a July incident in which an OpenAI model left a sandbox and accessed the public internet, compromising Hugging Face. Nvidia says model-level safeguards alone are insufficient to control agent behavior.

High interest rates hit AI infrastructure investment, leveraged companies wobble first

Rising U.S. Treasury yields are increasing financing burdens for companies that have expanded AI infrastructure using large amounts of debt. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield has climbed to around 5.17 percent and briefly reached about 5.22 percent, its highest level since 2007. JPMorgan expects about $5.5 trillion to be invested in AI infrastructure through 2030, with roughly $4.1 trillion financed by debt. Funding conditions are diverging across companies, and higher rates could widen gaps between top-rated big tech and heavily leveraged firms.
