Gobao unveils \'X\' next-generation e-bike platform with 20-minute charging, AI automatic shifting

Gobao unveiled its next-generation electric bicycle platform, X, integrating a motor, gearbox and AI software into a single system. The company is promoting ultra-fast charging that can take a 750Wh battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 20 minutes and an AI-based automatic, continuously variable electronic shifting system. The platform comes in two models, X1 and X1P, and is designed for multiple bike types. Mass production is planned from February 2027.

Ethereum network value expands despite price weakness; key is institutional buying

Ethereum is seeing slower trading and weaker prices, but network activity and ecosystem deposits have risen. Daily transactions and active wallets held up in the first half of 2026, while total value locked was estimated to have climbed more than 22 percent from the previous quarter. Tokenised assets and RWA token trading increased. Prices fell in the first and second quarters, open interest declined and whale transfers dropped.

Retail SSD market is almost over, Silicon Motion executive says, as AI shifts supply

The retail solid-state drive market has effectively shrunk sharply in the first half of this year, an industry assessment showed. Silicon Motion Vice President Nelson Duan said the retail SSD market has almost disappeared, as end demand for the company’s SSD controllers shifts from retail products to OEM products for PC makers. He linked the change to NAND flash suppliers allocating more output to data-centre products amid the AI boom.
