Fadu said on Sunday it posted second-quarter revenue of 73,155,000,000 won and operating profit of 16,267,000,000 won. Revenue rose 208.9 percent from a year earlier and operating profit swung to a profit. Its operating margin was 22.2 percent.

From the previous quarter, revenue increased 22.9 percent to 73,155,000,000 won from 59,538,000,000 won. Operating profit rose 111.6 percent to 16,267,000,000 won from 7,686,000,000 won.

First-half revenue totalled 132,693,000,000 won. That is close to 139.5 billion won, the combined total revenue for 2024 and 2025. First-half operating profit totalled 23,953,000,000 won, turning from an operating loss of 24,550,000,000 won a year earlier.

So far this year, Fadu has won new orders worth more than 340.0 billion won on a disclosed basis. It is expanding its position in the global storage ecosystem, including by securing new server OEM customers.

Fadu is continuing to expand supply of its main Gen5 controller product. The company said it has also put in place a system to supply its next-generation Gen6 product to customers on time in line with the timing of market expansion.

The enterprise SSD controller business is less affected by supply-demand cycle shifts and seasonality. The company said its structure ensures stable revenue and growth as it expands customers based on long-term supply contracts.

Fadu CEO Lee Hyun-nam (남이현) said, "Following our success in turning to a profit in the first quarter, we built a solid profit structure in the second quarter, laying the foundation for a quantum jump in both revenue and profit this year." She added, "Considering revenue growth from customer diversification and the growth trend of controllers, a key device in storage for the AI semiconductor market, much greater growth is expected in the second half than in the first half."
