SKT wins CSAP certification for Nvidia GPU-based Haein cluster

SK Telecom\'s AI data centre infrastructure, the Haein cluster, has obtained Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) certification. It is the first time in South Korea that an AI cloud provider based on Blackwell GPUs has received CSAP certification. SKT said Haein won the Infrastructure as a Service certification under CSAP, overseen by the Korea Internet & Security Agency. The company plans to expand AI infrastructure business for the public and financial sectors.

SK Telecom bets on \'AI factory\' with Nvidia to push into AI infrastructure

SK Telecom is stepping up its push into the AI infrastructure market through cooperation with Nvidia, with plans to run an Nvidia DSX-based “AI factory” next year and later expand it to gigawatt scale. SK Telecom aims to combine SK Broadband’s data centre operations with Nvidia GPUs, networks and software. Orbital targets 2028 first launch for space AI data centre vision

Orbital, a startup aiming to build artificial intelligence data centres in space, has raised $5 million in seed funding. The company plans to run AI inference in orbit to avoid power and siting constraints on Earth and reduce regulatory and permitting burdens. Founder Euwyn Poon says the business depends on lower launch costs, with SpaceX\'s Starship seen as key. Orbital targets a first data-processing spacecraft launch in 2028.
