Naver Pay extends up to 4 percent benefits on Woori Bank account, launches dedicated debit card

Naver Pay (Npay) extended special interest-rate benefits on a demand deposit product it offers in partnership with Woori Bank and launched a dedicated debit card with Woori Card. The deposit offers up to 4 percent annual interest, while debit card payments can earn up to 1.3 percent in points. Customers who join within six months of launch receive the special rate for one year, up to 2,000,000 won.

Naver, Kakao expand holiday services for Chuseok hospitals, parking

Naver and Kakao are expanding services for the Chuseok holiday, offering information on hospitals, pharmacies, animal hospitals and free public parking through search and map functions. They are also strengthening travel and transport information, including airport waiting times and transit and road conditions. Naver will offer short-form videos and promotions for its Clip, Webtoon and Series services. Kakao will run gift, booking and discount promotions and send phishing-prevention messages to about 27 million people.

Naver Pay to support international film festivals with Npay Connect payment infrastructure

Naver Pay is supplying its offline integrated payment terminal, Npay Connect, and supporting facial recognition-based payments at international film festivals in South Korea. The company said it will provide Npay Connect-based payment infrastructure at the 22nd Jecheon International Music and Film Festival and the 31st Busan International Film Festival. During the events, users paying with Npay QR or FaceSign can earn points. Separate promotions apply at goods shops and ticket booths.
