Naver is moving to combine ecosystems across the board with Nexon, starting with account linking and extending to payments, tailored content recommendations and support for game broadcasts.
Naver said on May 18 it is moving into full-fledged cooperation with Nexon by starting the conversion to "Naver login members" as part of a strategic business agreement.
The account conversion will support Nexon users so they can use Naver login and Npay payments. Naver plans to upgrade personalised content recommendations for Chzzk and Clip based on linked accounts, tailored to users' interests in Nexon intellectual property they consume.
Naver will also run an "N Connect" project with Nexon on streaming platform Chzzk to promote production of broadcast content based on Nexon IP. N Connect offers special benefits reflecting broadcast activity and viewer participation through a reward structure built on three pillars: activity, growth and impact. It will also operate a "content support centre".
The companies plan to refine their cooperation structure to help Chzzk partner, pro and rookie streamers produce Nexon game content and to ensure viewing naturally leads to actual gameplay. Chzzk N Connect will run as a pre-season until Sept. 22, with the regular season due to begin in October.
They have also prepared various events. Users who convert to Naver login members by June 24 can earn 10 percent of the payment amount in points on their first payment, up to 5,000 Npay points. During the event period, Nexon will provide an additional 1 percent in points when users pay by charging Npay Money.
Users who change their login account to a Naver ID by July 20 can choose and receive one coupon pack from about 20 games including Dungeon & Fighter, MapleStory and Mabinogi Mobile. In FC Online, users can receive more generous rewards by participating in an eighth anniversary event. Any Nexon user aged 14 or older can make the conversion, and existing play records will be maintained.
On Naver's Chzzk, a total of 550,000 Nexon IP-related streaming broadcasts were conducted from January 2025 to March 2026, and game communities are being actively run across Naver's various services. With Naver having secured broadcast rights for the 2026-2030 FIFA World Cup, expectations are also building for synergy with Nexon sports game IP ahead of the North and Central America World Cup in June.
Jae-hoo Lee (이재후), head of Naver's Entertainment Service division, said Naver will seek to expand integrated accounts with Nexon starting with the account conversion, strengthen connections of user data, and expand a content ecosystem spanning online and offline. He said Naver will continue to organically link Naver's various services with Nexon's game IP to provide differentiated content and benefits available only on Naver and to keep expanding the partnership.
