Naver is launching a real-time walking directions service that lets users reach destinations through voice guidance without looking at their smartphone screens. The company also upgraded its in-car navigation by adding alerts for rear speed enforcement cameras and a feature for reporting unexpected road conditions. The updates expand integration with public transport route guidance and support seamless switching to indoor AR navigation zones. The walking service is first available on Android, with iOS to follow.

Naver is rolling out an on-the-ground campaign called \'Local Ground\' to help users experience local businesses through artificial intelligence and to support AI transformation for regional commercial districts. The first programme runs in Busan from June 9 to June 13, with 104 small and medium-sized merchant shops taking part. Naver is supporting adoption of AI-based solutions and short-form content, and enabling foreigners to use map-to-payment services after passport-based verification.
