A more horizontal workplace culture is taking root inside South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT, with staff addressing senior officials by name plus “-nim” instead of rank. The change, launched after Deputy Prime Minister and minister Bae Kyung-hoon took office, has spread beyond forms of address to reporting styles, meeting practices and communication. The ministry is also promoting recognition programmes and work-style changes aimed at improving efficiency.

iM Financial Group is running May as a \"Social Contribution Day\" month to expand community coexistence activities, it said on Thursday. The group said all employees took part in social contribution programmes tied to Family Month and its 15th anniversary.
