LG HelloVision said on Tuesday it will support 2,000 vulnerable households in its system operator (SO) service areas with its 'Mind Sharing Package' by the end of this year.
The Mind Sharing Package is a community-focused social contribution programme that delivers agricultural products and daily necessities purchased from local small merchants, traditional markets and young farmers to vulnerable groups.
LG HelloVision has delivered packages of food and daily necessities to vulnerable households in Goheung County and Shinan County in South Jeolla Province and in Wonju, Gangwon Province. It plans to visit Haemil Library in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, later this month to provide additional support to 100 households including people with visual impairments.
It will work with local governments and local welfare institutions through year-end to support a total of 2,000 households, including seniors living alone, low-income children and teenagers, people with disabilities and multicultural families. Once this year's support is completed, the cumulative number of households supported will exceed 12,000 since the project began in 2020.
Im Sung-won (임성원), a managing director at LG HelloVision, said, "We hope the autumn goodwill prepared in co-prosperity with local alleyway businesses will become a small help and boost to our neighbours' daily lives."
