KT accelerates AI-based distribution AX with NongHyup Agri Holdings and Microsoft
KT said on Aug. 18 it signed a memorandum of understanding with NongHyup Agri Holdings and Microsoft Korea to drive AI and cloud-based distribution AX innovation. The cooperation follows KT’s public cloud migration project for NongHyup Agri Holdings’ agricultural online mall, NH Sing Sing Mall, which moved systems, infrastructure, network and security to Microsoft Azure and began service in July. The partners plan AI-based customer service, data-driven marketing and agentic AI services.

DeepSeek Harness spreads in developer community as plug-in-based design draws attention
DeepSeek\'s open-source AI agent runtime, DeepSeek Harness, is spreading quickly in developer communities after receiving positive reviews. Built on Node.js and released under the MIT licence as a developer preview on GitHub, it gained more than 33,000 stars within hours of launch, a report said. It features an “everything is a plug-in” design and offers four execution modes, while supporting multiple AI platforms.

Amazon Web Services could potentially grow into a $1 trillion revenue business, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said after the company reported second-quarter results. AWS posted an annualised revenue run rate of $169 billion in the quarter, with revenue growth accelerating to 36.7 percent. Theory Ventures founder Tomasz Tunguz said whether AWS reaches $1 trillion depends on how much corporate customers use AI, while heavy investment and borrowing could become a burden if adoption slows.
