Sony PS5 sales plunge 46 percent, raising concerns for game business growth
Sony\'s PlayStation 5 sales fell sharply, with fourth-quarter unit sales down to 1.5 million and annual sales at 16.0 million. The company expects revenue in its Games & Network Services unit to drop by 265.7 billion yen in fiscal 2026, citing weaker replacement demand and memory procurement constraints. Still, annual segment revenue rose 87.3 billion yen, helped by currency effects, network services and third-party software sales.

As running becomes a lifestyle trend, South Korean banks are intensifying competition in so-called healthcare finance that links health management with financial benefits. Banks are rolling out savings products tied to running and walking platforms, offering preferential interest rates based on activity and other conditions such as card use. KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank and Hana Bank have launched related products, pairing exercise records with rewards and app-based services to attract MZ consumers and expand customer engagement.

KT joins \'I Am Solo Run\' as main sponsor, runs hands-on booths
KT said on Saturday it took part as main sponsor in the \'2026 I Am Solo Run\' marathon held at Yeouido Park in Seoul on May 9. The 10-km event drew about 5,000 participants and was co-hosted by ENA, SBS Plus and Chonjang Entertainment. KT ran an on-site booth featuring hands-on demos of its services and events, and also operated pacemaker helpers and provided giveaways and prizes.
