NFL urges CFTC to tighten regulation of prediction markets

The NFL has asked U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig to strengthen regulation of sports prediction markets, The Block reported, citing a letter obtained by The Closing Line newsletter. The league said a recent draft rule on event contracts was insufficient on integrity and consumer protection. It stressed protecting game integrity as a top priority. The NFL has previously urged Kalshi and Polymarket to scale back some contract products.
