Stove joins BIC 2026 as gold sponsor, supports indie game entries
Smilegate said on Thursday that its global game platform Stove will take part as a gold sponsor at Busan Indie Connect (BIC) Festival 2026, running through Aug. 16 at BEXCO in Busan. Stove will support offline booth entries by partner companies, including three titles from China’s Thermite Games. Two new titles will be revealed for the first time at Smilegate’s booth. Stove will also run an online STOVE x BIC collaboration page through Aug. 28.

Kakao Games sets rebound push with five new games, targets return to profit in Q1 2027
Kakao Games is reorganising non-core businesses under a new co-CEO structure and concentrating on launching five new titles. The company reported second-quarter revenue of 75 billion won and an operating loss of 23 billion won, with revenue down year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter. It sees sales bottoming in the second and third quarters, expects a meaningful rebound from the fourth quarter, and aims to turn profitable in the first quarter of next year.

Line Games signs global publishing deal for Amazing Slot Survivor
Line Games has signed a global publishing agreement for a new PC-based survival roguelike title, Amazing Slot Survivor, being developed by indie studio Two Man Games, it said on Thursday. Two Man Games is made up of two developers with more than 20 years of industry experience, and the title is the studio\'s debut. Line Games aims to release an early access version this year on Steam, the Epic Games Store and Stove.
