Line Games is releasing the first demo version of its new PC co-op horror game Code Exit on global platforms as it ramps up for launch.

Line Games said on Tuesday it has presented the first demo and a gameplay trailer for Code Exit, a new PC title under development by South Korean indie developer Phase 8 Studio.

The demo covers the Stage 1 section of the game and can be downloaded and played via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Code Exit is a co-op horror game in which players uncover the truth in a city occupied by a rampaging AI. It applies AI that learns player behavior in real time along with advanced sound design. It sought differentiation through a structure that does not rely on temporary jump scares and through thoroughly interdependent mission design.

It can be played by 1 to up to 4 players. Players investigate facilities in the dark and complete missions using real-time in-game voice chat with teammates.

Line Games will run a pre-release hands-on booth for Code Exit at 2026 PlayX4, to be held from May 21 to 24 at KINTEX in Ilsan. It plans to collect user feedback, improve the game's completeness and release an early access version in the first quarter of next year.

A Line Games official said, "This demo is a stage that signals the start of Code Exit's differentiated co-op horror," adding, "We hope it becomes a game in which users can share and long recall the moments of survival and lingering impressions with the colleagues they were with even after the ending."
