Neptune is teaming up with LINE Games to introduce five H5 games that can be played without separate installation on Japan's LINE Mini App.

Neptune said on Sept. 16 it will work with LINE Games of LY Corp, which operates LINE and Yahoo Japan, to sequentially launch five H5 (HTML5) games on LINE Mini App.

The planned releases are five titles: Cat Office, Cat Snack Bar, Dduddudrill, Infinite Stairs and Urruru Mercenaries. The collaboration is LINE Games' first case of directly publishing mini-games on LINE Mini App and Neptune's first entry into Japan for its H5 games business.

Three of the titles - Cat Snack Bar, Dduddudrill and Infinite Stairs - will be demonstrated at the LINE Games booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Visitors will be able to play on site without downloading the games separately.

The partnership will also allow in-app purchases and the LINE login function to be applied. LINE Games plans to support marketing operations targeting local users in Japan.

Neptune plans to secure new users, mainly among LINE users in Japan, and expand local distribution for its H5 games business.

Neptune has previously supplied H5 games to Toss, Kakao Pay Mini Game, KakaoTalk Game and CrazyGames.

Kwon Seung-hyun (권승현), head of Neptune's game business division, said, "As LINE has many users, we believe the synergy with Neptune's H5 games will be significant." He added, "In the mid to long term, we plan to review listing additional titles in the Japanese market and expanding cooperation."

Ahn Hyun-seok (안현석), a director at Neptune's H5 business office, will speak at a conference hosted by LINE Games on Sept. 17 to 18 during the Tokyo Game Show under the theme of "Know-how for porting native games to H5." He plans to introduce ways to maintain service stability and the user experience while converting existing games into an H5 format.
