LG to hold \'LG Spark 2026\' in Magok, unveil new Physical AI and AIDC technologies

LG will hold \'LG Spark 2026\' at LG Sciencepark in Magok, Seoul, from Sept. 7 to 17, it said on Thursday. The event will run five programs focused on spreading AI innovation and transformation cases. LG will showcase 41 new R&D technologies, including Physical AI, AIDC and mobility. It will also present 68 AX cases, share Exaone applications and plans, hold a developer conference with global firms, and run mentoring and experience programs for students.

LG Display steps up academia-industry ties with Yonsei University to secure talent

LG Display is strengthening industry-academia cooperation with Yonsei University to secure display specialists. The company said it will jointly hold an admissions briefing on Aug. 24 at the ISC in LG Sciencepark in Magok for prospective applicants to Yonsei’s Department of Display Convergence Engineering and their parents. The session will cover the department, LG Display, admissions plans and talks with current students.

Korea science ministry to support return of overseas Korean tech talent teams

South Korea will support the domestic commercialisation of 20 teams of overseas Korean technology talent working in super-gap fields including AI, advanced robots, bio and aerospace, the government said. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency held a K-TECH Pioneers orientation in Seoul on July 10. The programme aims to support the return and settlement of overseas Korean talent and is linked to a government policy on securing leading AI technologies and talent.
