Korea science ministry to support return of overseas Korean tech talent teams
South Korea will support the domestic commercialisation of 20 teams of overseas Korean technology talent working in super-gap fields including AI, advanced robots, bio and aerospace, the government said. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency held a K-TECH Pioneers orientation in Seoul on July 10. The programme aims to support the return and settlement of overseas Korean talent and is linked to a government policy on securing leading AI technologies and talent.

LG CNS, Doosan broaden cooperation on AI, robots and data centres
LG CNS said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Doosan to strengthen global competitiveness in new businesses spanning artificial intelligence transformation, robot transformation, data centres and cloud. The companies plan to set up a business cooperation body within a month of signing and draw up operating plans. Cooperation includes AI platforms, potential robot collaboration, data centre and cloud synergies, hydrogen fuel cell adoption and manufacturing AX using digital twin technology.

LG CNS unveils \'Physicalworks\' RX platform, says it will build robot-led operating system
LG CNS unveiled its robot transformation (RX) platform brand, Physicalworks, integrating robot training and operations. At an RX media day in Seoul, CEO Shin Kyun-hyun (현신균) said the company would combine full-stack capabilities from training to deployment and operations to set a new standard for commercialising physical AI. The platform supports the full robot lifecycle and consists of Forge for training and Baton for operations and monitoring.
