Naver payments vs Kakao chats: Battle to capture everyday data in AI era

Naver and Kakao are moving to secure everyday data to raise personalisation in artificial intelligence services. Naver is collecting visit, order and payment data through its offline payment terminal and linking it with existing search and booking information. Kakao is focusing on remembering users’ schedules, interests and preferences scattered across KakaoTalk chats through long-term on-device AI memory, and on connecting external transaction functions such as food delivery.

Hana Bank prevents 18.5 billion won in KReSIM investment fraud losses with enhanced FDS

Hana Bank said it prevented losses of about 18.5 billion won by blocking transactions linked to the KReSIM investment scam using its fraud detection system. The bank said it developed and applied monitoring scenarios reflecting the recently spreading scam pattern and implemented anti-fraud measures. It said it introduced a dedicated scenario in February to reject approvals and block app installation and logins when signals are detected.

Smilegate said on Thursday it will officially release the new massively multiplayer online role-playing game \"Eclipse: The Awakening\" on Sept. 10. Developed by Npixel, the game supports cross-platform play on mobile and PC and is positioned as \"MMOLite\" aimed at reducing player fatigue while keeping growth and competition elements. Smilegate is running pre-registration via its website, Google Play and Apple App Store, with items and other rewards for participants.
