UMB discloses holdings in Franklin XRP ETF as financial firms add XRP spot ETFs
U.S. asset manager UMB Private Wealth disclosed holdings in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ) in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission third-quarter filing. It held XRPZ worth $100,316 as of Sept. 30, although the filing does not show whether the position was proprietary or client assets. The ETF, listed by Franklin Templeton in 2025, holds XRP directly. Other institutions, including Advisornet Financial, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, also reported holdings.

Elon Musk said he will give every child in the United States 1 share of SpaceX next year. Official U.S. Census statistics put the under-18 population at 72 million as of July 1, 2025, implying a distribution of 72 million shares. Valued at $146.03 per share using last Friday’s close, the stake would be about $10.5 billion. Musk did not disclose how the shares would be distributed.

Russia to ban direct peer-to-peer crypto trading from July 2027
Russia will ban individuals from directly trading cryptocurrencies with each other from July 1, 2027, blocking peer-to-peer transactions conducted without intermediaries, Cointelegraph reported. Under the measure, retail investors will be able to buy and sell crypto only through approved intermediaries. The central bank also reaffirmed that moving crypto from digital accounts to self-custodied, non-custodial wallets in a person’s own name will not be allowed. Sberbank has been approved to offer crypto exchange services.
