UMB Private Wealth, a U.S. asset manager, disclosed its holdings in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ) through a third-quarter 2026 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The Crypto Basic, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Oct. 20 that UMB Private Wealth was confirmed to hold $100,316 worth of XRPZ as of Sept. 30.
The disclosure adds UMB Private Wealth Management to the list of traditional financial institutions with exposure to XRP through regulated investment products. The 13F filing alone did not confirm whether the holding was the firm’s proprietary funds or client assets under management.
A 13F is a system that requires asset managers with more than $100 million in assets under management to disclose quarterly U.S. equity long positions. UMB Private Wealth listed XRPZ among its third-quarter holdings and said its market value was $100,316 as of Sept. 30.
Franklin Templeton listed XRPZ on NYSE Arca on Nov. 24, 2025. The fund is structured to hold XRP directly and track the CME CF XRP-Dollar reference rate. This structure allows institutions to access XRP prices through a regulated product without directly storing tokens.
Market trends are also pointing in the same direction. XRPZ recorded net inflows of $90.64 million in the third quarter of 2026. Cumulative inflows stood at about $473 million as of early September, and net inflows over the past 12 months were about $302 million. Net assets are about $392 million, and the portfolio is 100 percent XRP. Shares outstanding were 13.45 million and the trading price was $14.48. Over the past 12 months, the price ranged from $12.38 to $26.09.
Holdings by other financial firms were also confirmed. Advisornet Financial reported in its third-quarter 13F filing that it held 12,380 shares of XRPZ, valued at about $177,800. Morgan Stanley was shown to hold 6,715 shares of XRPZ, 255 shares of the Rex-Osprey XRP ETF and 67 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF.
Goldman Sachs’ holdings in spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were $87.4 million, based on a review of second-quarter 2026 filings by Bloomberg Intelligence. That was the largest institutional holding of spot XRP ETFs, ahead of Jane Street Group and Millennium Management.
Spot XRP ETFs attracted $307.87 million in the third quarter of 2026. Net inflows in August were $159.18 million, the strongest in the quarter, and about $121.4 million also flowed in during September. As of early September, cumulative net investment across spot XRP ETFs was about $1.68 billion, of which XRPZ accounted for about $473 million.
XRP, the underlying asset, rose from about $1.04 on July 1 to $1.51 on Sept. 30, gaining more than 45 percent in the third quarter. ETF inflows may have supported the rise, but the disclosed figures alone did not confirm how directly the gains came from ETF demand.
The 13F filing shows that traditional financial firms’ inclusion of spot XRP ETFs is spreading across multiple institutions. It indicates that a trend of investing in XRP through ETFs within the regulatory framework has been confirmed in actual asset allocation details.
