Woori Investment Securities Q2 net profit 11 billion won, down 21 percent from Q1

Woori Investment Securities posted a second-quarter net profit of 11 billion won, down 21.4 percent from the previous quarter, as expanded credit loss costs outweighed gains in interest and non-interest income. Net operating revenue rose 8.6 percent to 76 billion won, while credit loss costs jumped 88.9 percent to 17 billion won. First-half net profit climbed 47.1 percent year on year to 25 billion won, and retail customers increased to 781,000.

Woori Financial first-half net profit 1.61 trillion won, non-bank contribution rises to 22.3%

Woori Financial Group posted first-half net profit attributable to owners of the parent of 1.609 trillion won, up 3.7% from a year earlier, helped by higher capital markets fee income and the effect of consolidating an insurer. Second-quarter profit rose 66.4% from the previous quarter to 1.005 trillion won. Non-bank units’ share of group profit rose to 22.3%. The group announced a 220 won per share cash dividend for the second quarter.

Hana Financial posts 2.4029 trillion won first-half net profit, fee income up 37.7 percent

Hana Financial Group posted a first-half net profit of 2.4029 trillion won, up 4.4 percent from a year earlier, helped by higher fee income and a more diversified earnings mix. It absorbed one-off costs including provisions tied to corporate rehabilitation and foreign-exchange translation losses. Core profit rose 13 percent to 6.2956 trillion won, with fee income up 37.7 percent. Hana Bank net profit rose 1.7 percent.
