Toss Bank added Kiwoom Securities issued notes to its asset management service “Mokdon Guligi.” The cumulative amount of linked sales through Mokdon Guligi recently exceeded 30 trillion won.

Toss Bank said on Sept. 18 it will newly introduce Kiwoom Securities issued notes in Mokdon Guligi so customers can choose based on their investment period and plans.

The newly added Kiwoom Securities issued notes consist of a demand type and a fixed-term type.

The demand type applies a promised pre-tax annual return of 3.00 percent even if held for just 1 day. The same return applies even if sold early regardless of the holding period, and the investment period ranges from 1 day to 1 year.

The fixed-term type is offered with four maturities: 7 days, 31 days, 181 days and 365 days. The pre-tax annual return is 3.05 percent for 7 days and 31 days, 4.50 percent for 181 days and 4.70 percent for 365 days.

If the fixed-term type is sold early before maturity, 30 percent of the promised return applies when the actual holding period is 1 to 90 days, and 50 percent applies for 91 to 364 days. Partial redemption is not possible, and only full redemption is allowed per purchase. Both the demand type and the fixed-term type can be purchased from a minimum of 1,000,000 won.

The stated returns are as of Sept. 18 and may change depending on market interest rates. Interest income is subject to 15.4 percent withholding tax, including income tax and local income tax.

Issued notes are short-term financial products with a maturity of up to 1 year that are issued on the issuer’s own credit by a so-called mega investment bank (IB) with equity capital of at least 4 trillion won. Unlike deposits, they are not covered under the Depositor Protection Act, and principal losses may occur depending on the issuer’s credit risk.

Actual trading of the products is conducted through Kiwoom Securities.

As an issued-notes operator, Kiwoom Securities can raise funds of up to 200 percent of its equity capital and use them for corporate finance and venture capital supply. Toss Bank plays the role of linking the product to users through Mokdon Guligi.

Mokdon Guligi started in August 2022 as a service that selects investment products from various financial companies and introduces them to users. It currently offers bonds, issued notes, repurchase agreements (RP) and overseas bonds.

The cumulative amount of linked sales rose from about 17.9 trillion won in August 2025 to 22 trillion won in December that year, and exceeded 30 trillion won in September 2026.

A Toss Bank official said, “This surpassing of 30 trillion won is the result of expanding product options with partner financial companies so customers can choose financial products that fit their own plans.” The official added, “Through Kiwoom Securities issued notes, we will continue to meet diverse asset management demand, from short-term funds to lump sums to be managed for 1 year.”
